This is a legal document. Please read and understand before signing. If you have
questions, consult an attorney.

In consideration of my participation in the Shelby Bicycle Days Bike Tour and
related activities (collectively, the “Event”), I freely acknowledge, recognize and
assume the risks and dangers of participating in the Event. Such assumed risks
include all risks to my person and my property, whether on the route or at an Event
location; collision with pedestrians, vehicles, other riders, or fixed or moving objects;
the negligence of other riders, sponsors, promoters or drivers; dangers arising from
falls, road surface or conditions; equipment failure, inadequate safety equipment;
weather conditions or force majeure. I understand that any route or activity chosen
as part of the Event may not be the safest of all possible routes. I understand that the
route requires bicycling on public roadways.

I accept the risk that my vehicle may be at risk of damage, theft or towing while
parked at an Event location or elsewhere. I recognize that the Event requires
physical conditioning and I represent that I am in sound medical condition with no
physical or medical impediment which might endanger me or others. I acknowledge
that the sponsors, promoters and organizers do not and cannot control all conditions
that may arise during the Event. I agree to ride so as not to endanger myself or other
participants in the Event. I accept responsibility for the condition and adequacy of
my bicycle. I agree to ride single file, wear an identification tag, and follow the
lawful directions of the organizers of the Event. I agree to wear a CPSC, ASTM or
SNELL certified helmet when riding a bicycle during the Event. I agree to obey all
Virginia and Tennessee traffic laws and regulations.

I agree that my photograph, video or voice may be used in promotion or advertising
for the Event with no compensation due. For myself, my heirs, executors,
administrators, legal representatives (including successors), I hereby waive any and
all rights and/or claims which I have, may have, or which may hereafter accrue to
me against the sponsors and promoters of Event, their affiliated organizations and
their respective agents, officers, directors and employees (the “Released Parties”)
from any and all losses, damages or injuries (collectively, “Damages”) which I may
sustain directly or indirectly in connection with my participation in the Event, and I
hereby forever irrevocably release and discharge each and all of the Released
Parties from all claims for such Damages and agree not to assert any claims for
Damages against them, whether by legal action or other means.

I enter into this Agreement voluntarily and freely without coercion or duress. This
agreement may not be modified except in a writing signed by the organizers.

voluntarily and freely for my child to participate in the Event. I further agree
individually and on behalf of my child to the above terms after having fully read the
“Release and Assumption of Risk.”
